Day 38

So I have been on insulin for 5 months now, and yesterday was the first day that I forgot to take it.
I normally take it around 4 in the morning (I usually don't go to bed until around 6am) however last night I layed down and had just fallen asleep when I woke up and remembered that I hadn't taken it! I thought about getting up and injecting, but then I thought "Maybe I will skip a day just to see what happens"
I don't think that is necessarily a good thing, and I am back on track now, but i just wanted to see if one day would effect my numbers.
So this morning when I had a blood sugar of 110, which is almost perfect, I was quite thrilled.
So this morning i had a bowl of cereal, followed by a couple pieces of toast and some almonds.
I knew that i had dinner plans before work so I saved most of my hunger for Sea Thai on colonial near the fashion square mall. I have been there a few times and I love it.
I started with the spring rolls and my entree was pineapple fried rice with Chicken.
I might as well have licked my plate clean, it was so good!
Then during work I had an apple, and when i got home Addison, Nicole and I had Grilled Cheese sandwiches and a salad with dried cranberries, apples, cashews and almonds.
We are all going out for brunch tomorrow, so I am anxious to see where we end up.

Day 37

Considering what I had eaten and drank the previous night, I was pleased to have a blood sugar of 121.
So Jeff and i got up and headed back to Orlando today.
On the way back we stopped at Chick-Fil-A.
Then a nap.
and then before work I had an apple and a bag of peanuts.
After work a trip to Steak and Shake where I had a BLT, a cup of Chili and 2 sausage, egg and cheese sliders.

Day 36

Blood sugar 82
Today Jeffrey and I went to Tampa to get tattooed, meet up with Daphne to go see Wicked, and have some drinks.
On the way there we stopped at Chili's where I had the honey chipotle Chicken Crispers. a delicious start to the day!
Once we arrived and checked in we bellied up to a bar and had a traditional Irish Car Bomb (The last time we went to Tampa I had 18, along with some shots of Citron ....So I feel that my alcohol consumption this trip was a lot smarter) Then after we got our Carrot Tattoos we met up with Daphne at Acropolis for some Delicious Greek Food! I had the Gyro platter, extremely Delicious and very filling. I couldn't even finish it!
Then off to see Wicked, which was excellent! and then out bar hopping!
I kept count and I only had 7 drinks for the rest of the night.
After some dancing we got a couple of slices of pizza and called it a night!

Day 34

Blood Sugar 98
I started the day by making a cheese and tomato pizza on a whole wheat pita.
Then around lunchtime Nicole and I were driving around looking for something to eat. We found a new Mediterranean place which was excellent and I wrote a review on urbanspoon.com Here is a link so that you can read about the place.

After my delicious meal there, i went to Happy Hour, followed by a trip to Graffiti Junktion where I had a burger with bleu cheese and onions, and I ate some of my fries, but not all.
Then a night of dancing and a few cocktails!
and finally before bed I had another one of those pizzas.
I ate a lot today, but I do think that I danced most of it off!

Day 33

Again the blood sugar was 91!
I started out today with 2 pieces of whole wheat raisin toast and a fat free yogurt.
Then off to the gym, a great 30 minute workout and an additional 25 minutes on the eliptical machine. (I know that I didn't spell that correctly)
Then I met up with Addison and we went to the Cypriana Greek Restaurant in Casselberry. I have always driven by there but this was my first time actually dining there.
Delicious!
We started with the SAGANAKI $7.95
Melted Greek cheese battered & sautéed in olive oil, then flambéed & sprinkled with fresh lemon
(Did you like how I copied and pasted that from their website?)
and then for my entree I had GYRO DINNER $9.95
Seasoned gyro meat served over pita bread with lettuce, tomatoes, onions & tzatziki sauce.
(I love this game)
After I finish this I am going to write a review on urbanspoon, so I suggest that you go there next and read it.
Then a trip to Orange City for a costume fitting.
and then to La Hacienda Mexican Grill for the number 4 combo (One tostada, One Beef Enchilada, and one taco ...I couldn't cut and paste from their website)
I also had a bite of Addisons Cheesecake Burrito! however I didn't eat all of my enchilada. It was good, and when in the area I would definitely go back.

Day 32

This morning I was back at 91.
Perfect.
I started the day with a trip to Toojays with Nicole. I wanted breakfast, but it was 3pm and the server told us they were no longer doing breakfast. (However I sure was bitter when the guy at the table next to us who ordered after us got his breakfast! oh well!) anyway I ended up with the cheddar bacon hot dog platter. Doesn't it look disgustingly cheesy and greasy? However it was delicious!
Then before work I had some cashews, and at work i had an apple.
Then afterwards I ate up all my leftovers ...., salad, tortellini and pita.
Now my fridge is bare. Tomorrow will include some dining out.
Actually the next few days will, hopefully I will eat delicious food and not let my sugars go to high!
