Day 35

Blood Sugar 112.
Today I started with a bowl of cereal and 2 pieces of raisin toast.
Then had a great workout with Lynn.
Afterwards I met up with Addison at the Mellow Mushroom and split a portobello mushroom appetizer, followed by a spinach salad and we got the Cosmic Karma pizza, which we ate some of there, and then the rest after the bar, along with another one of my homeade pizzas on a whole wheat pita which was topped with spinach, broccoli, onions and peppers.
Off to Tampa tomorrow, so I will try to get some good food photos!

Day 34

Blood Sugar 98
I started the day by making a cheese and tomato pizza on a whole wheat pita.
Then around lunchtime Nicole and I were driving around looking for something to eat. We found a new Mediterranean place which was excellent and I wrote a review on urbanspoon.com Here is a link so that you can read about the place.

After my delicious meal there, i went to Happy Hour, followed by a trip to Graffiti Junktion where I had a burger with bleu cheese and onions, and I ate some of my fries, but not all.
Then a night of dancing and a few cocktails!
and finally before bed I had another one of those pizzas.
I ate a lot today, but I do think that I danced most of it off!

Day 33

Again the blood sugar was 91!
I started out today with 2 pieces of whole wheat raisin toast and a fat free yogurt.
Then off to the gym, a great 30 minute workout and an additional 25 minutes on the eliptical machine. (I know that I didn't spell that correctly)
Then I met up with Addison and we went to the Cypriana Greek Restaurant in Casselberry. I have always driven by there but this was my first time actually dining there.
Delicious!
We started with the SAGANAKI $7.95
Melted Greek cheese battered & sautéed in olive oil, then flambéed & sprinkled with fresh lemon
(Did you like how I copied and pasted that from their website?)
and then for my entree I had GYRO DINNER $9.95
Seasoned gyro meat served over pita bread with lettuce, tomatoes, onions & tzatziki sauce.
(I love this game)
After I finish this I am going to write a review on urbanspoon, so I suggest that you go there next and read it.
Then a trip to Orange City for a costume fitting.
and then to La Hacienda Mexican Grill for the number 4 combo (One tostada, One Beef Enchilada, and one taco ...I couldn't cut and paste from their website)
I also had a bite of Addisons Cheesecake Burrito! however I didn't eat all of my enchilada. It was good, and when in the area I would definitely go back.

Day 32

This morning I was back at 91.
Perfect.
I started the day with a trip to Toojays with Nicole. I wanted breakfast, but it was 3pm and the server told us they were no longer doing breakfast. (However I sure was bitter when the guy at the table next to us who ordered after us got his breakfast! oh well!) anyway I ended up with the cheddar bacon hot dog platter. Doesn't it look disgustingly cheesy and greasy? However it was delicious!
Then before work I had some cashews, and at work i had an apple.
Then afterwards I ate up all my leftovers ...., salad, tortellini and pita.
Now my fridge is bare. Tomorrow will include some dining out.
Actually the next few days will, hopefully I will eat delicious food and not let my sugars go to high!

Day 31

So yesterday I was a little below ideal blood sugar, and today I was a little above.
I was still up at 7am and some friends asked if I wanted to meet them for breakfast, and of course I did.
I had scrambled eggs, bacon, homefries and toast. Delicious! but did I really need to add the half order of biscuits and gravy? Probably Not!!!!!
So then I went to bed, and 6.5 hours later I had a blood sugar of 132.
Considering what I had eaten, and the fact that it was not the full 8 hours when I took my sugar, then I guess it wasn't too high.
So my parents came over around 4pm and I cooked for them.
Salad with fruits and walnuts, tortellini with spinach, pesto and peas, and sauted chicken, peppers and onions with tomato sauce.
We were all pleased and it was delicious!
Before and during work I had a cereal bar and an apple.
Then afterwards we went to Pom Pom's Teahouse where I had the grits of the day and the Hula Hula girl salad.
a good day of Eatin'.

Day 30

68
Blood sugar is getting low, is that too low?
I will be anxious for the next Doctor's appointment to see what she thinks, I know that she did tell me she would like for it to be between 90 and 120.
So I started off today with a quesadilla that had the rest of the meatloaf and some goat cheese in it.
I also mixed a little BBQ sauce with some low fat sour cream and made a dipping sauce for it.
Then before work I heated up the last portion on Moussaka that was in the freezer.
About half way through my shift I think I experienced my blood sugar being low.
This has only happened to me once before, but I hear people talking about it all of the time. It was at the busiest point of the night and I got all sweaty and clammy, and I noticed that my hands were kind of shaky. So I went ahead and ate the chocolate peanut butter cereal bar (I usually save it for the end of the night) and after eating it everything stopped. It seamed to have done the trick.
Does anyone know if that's what was happening to me?
Once I got home I was feeling mediterranean and so I made some falafel and some fried cauliflower, tomato and parsley salad, both served with a drizzle of tahini sauce, along with some green beans.
Followed by a 20 minute walk on the treadmill.

Day 29

Blood Sugar 84
Today I started by going to see my friend Pom. She just opened her second shop. Pom Pom's teahouse and Sandwicheria.
I did some pictures of her food for her to hang on the walls.
Plus Addison took my favorite one of "The Veggie" and put it on a T Shirt.
Addison, Ashton and myself went and of course I had to order the Veggie, hold the 1000 Island.
Delicious and I am so glad that she is now a chain.
Then Addison and i did some shopping and ate at the falafel cafe where I got the Vegetarian lunch special.
I went to SPICE for dinner with some friends where I started with the eggplant medallions (basically an eggplant parmesan) and then for my entree I had the rosemary stuffed chicken.
Then we went to see Phantom of the Opera!
Once I got home I had another grilled meatloaf sandwich and now am off to bed.
